An exhibition of Vietnamese export products will take place at Russia’s international Expocenter from September 15 to 18.
The exhibition involving 97 Vietnamese businesses aims to introduce Vietnam’s great potential for production, business, investment and tourism.
The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia.
At a press conference on September 7, Vietnamese ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh announced that there would be a forum on “Vietnam - business and investment potential in agriculture, forestry and aquaculture”.
Two-way trade turnover between the two countries reached US$1.64 billion in 2008 and stayed at US$980 million in the first seven months of 2009, he said.
These figures fell short of expectations. The two countries’ leaders have set a goal of US$3 billion a year.
