Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Phuong Dong, deputy director of the city’s Department of Industry and Trade, said that export of farm produce exceeded over US$40 billion in 2018, the highest turnover in over the past ten years.
Vietnam's total agricultural exports are ranked 15th in the world and its agricultural products are available in 180 countries and territories worldwide, even penetrating multiple fastidious markets, he added.
The three fairs offer businesses a chance to introduce their latest agricultural technologies and learn about advanced technologies and equipment, as well as help producers and traders exchange information and explore business opportunities.
The events also helps to promote the use of technology in agricultural production and processing with the aim of improving productivity, quality and export value of the country’s agricultural products.
The expos will run until June 22.
